Whispering Downs are looking forward to a cracking weeks racing.
In the first race on the card, Shesagoer is looking to build on a good 3rd place to the classy Early Promise. Shiny Silver and Buck the Trend will keep her honest, but Silver will need blazing sunshine all week long, whereas Shesagoer will not mind if there's a sniff of moisture in the air. Buck will be hard to beat, the colts have a good advantage at this time of season, but he may just find this 7f a little on the sharp side. Newcomer Shrimp Paste could be anything, but my sources tell me that she would be best on granite-like ground.
The May Fillies sees a classic matchup between our great hope for next years classics, Early Promise, and the classy looking Josie Jump. Early Promise looked outstanding when breaking her maiden at the first time of asking and this step up in class should not present too much of a problem.
The race of the day looks to be the Listed Free Foal Mile which sees the big guns in action. Fuller Class will win this one going away - IF the weather holds up! Rose of Oldham is up against it once again but this girl is all heart and will not lose for lack of effort. The West Awake and Stormchaser look the pick of the newcomers, but I have heard good things from the GGS stables about their inexperienced colt Chicken Balti who could be using this as a prep race for next years classics trail. Don't leave SAM's Waltzing Matilda out of calculations - her debut race will have helped take some of the greenness away and she could be a big danger!
Good Luck to all participants this week.

Easy week to summarize for BCD stables - all our horses are remaining in training for the next week as we're looking to boost our chances of picking up some nice prizes later in the season :)

Week 3 - Group Race Previews
Week 3 see's 2 Group 3 races at Win2Win Downs, both worth £1000.
Small and select is how the fields are describerd, with only 4 colts and 5 fillies lining up in their respective races.
The May Stakes - Group 3 - 6f Colts - £1000
The favourite will no doubt be the FFF trained Pewter Jug after last weeks game 2nd to Reverend Johnson in the Coventry Stakes. The Jug looks to have all grounds covered, with the only doubts surrounding the jockey and his consistency on the track.
If the ground turns heavy underfoot, then Retro Rocker must surely come into the equation. I see Retro as more of a 7f specialist at this stage in his career, so can he step back to 6f and take this Group 3?
Waco Kid comes from the SOF yard to have a carack at Group company. Lack of early toe could be the key here, but the top class jock on board along with a lovely attitude could put this colt in the right place at the right time.
The final horse of the quartet Dingle Donkey has a sniff if the ground is soft, and don't be surprised if this one produces a top 2 finish if he gets his ground.
After the first 2 weeks sorting out the class from the donkeys, there are some lovely looking colts in this race, and any one of the 4 could go on to become top class sim stars.
The May Filles - Group 3 - 6f Fillies - £1000
5 fillies go to post for this Group 3 sprint over 6f, and some very good fillies have been lured into the race by the prize money and status of an early Group 3 win.
One things for sure, and that's Early Promise will relish the underfoot conditions no matter what happens between now and Sunday. The TOW stables big hope ran a corker back in week 1, and hopes are high that she'll progress to bigger and better things.....will this see her rise to Group company dominance?
MTP have found a little gem in Josie Jump, she ran a very creditable 2nd to the top class Perfect Model in week 1 over a furlong too far. Now back to her preferred trip she is going to be very hard to beat as long as her temperament doesn't get the better of her.
It's hard to see the rest of the field managing to get their heads in front, however they all have some positives about them. Scarborough Streak should put up a bold performance if getting good ground, Mongo will almost certainly not get the right ground, but her lovely temperament could bag her some decent prize money, and finally the newcomer Luxury Legs looks to be outclassed in this company for her first visit to the track. Only time will tell, but the lack of experience could be crucial.
Other races that catch the eye are Race 6, the 1m maiden for colts which looks sure to throw up a few nice types, and a tight finish looks on the cards. Race 8 the Listed Free Foal Mile has attracted a bumper field due to the lure of the Free Foal, and it looks an absolute corker....with any one of 6 or 7 horses in with a shout.
A good weekends racing looks certain.....will there be any shocks? will the big guns fire? will we see any potential classic hopes? All will be revealed at 5.30pm on Sunday!!!
Good luck to all stables this week.
Mark.

Thoughts from Alianzalimas SOF stable.
Race 2 sees Waco Kid have a crack at a group race. Was 4th last time out but ran green. Race 3 sees last weeks winner Mongo have a go at a group race. Both these horses have been thrown in at the deep end and we will find out if they can swim in this grade or will we have to put their arm bands back on? Unlikely winners but the small fields in the group races should ensure some decent prize money for the stable.
Race 5 sees Hedley Lamarr praying for heavy going. Maybe a place at best.
Race 6 has Gov Lepetomane running in the maiden. Will need a lot further next year but needs to get a bit of experience this year.
Race 7 finds I'm Tired running over a mile after a poor run last time out over 6f. Hopefully the ground won't be too heavy. Should pick up a place in the small field.
Overall we have five runners this week but are not hopeful of repeating last weeks success when we had two winners. We will be happy with a few placed horses this week.

Samanthas Stars Stables has 3 horses racing this week.
Race 1 sees a lovely filly of ours Runawaygo to post.
She is here for the experience more than anything as she does enjoy a sprint, but I doubt she will be living up to her name.
The jockey is new so it will be a useful race for him to get to grips with it all.
Race 4 is a 2 horse race unfortunately.
We have entered Joey.
He is a beautiful little colt,he is happiest over long distances, but he is a steady sprinter, and has one of our best jockeys riding him.
He is up against Bentasaninebobnote, who has alot more experience and loves the distance.
The ground conditions could be a big factor so we are hoping for good ground on the day.
Race 8 is the big race of the day and we have entered Waltzing Matilda.
This is her second run,and she loves this course.
She certainly has the ability to do well, but she is up against alot of top horses.
She could be a big threat if we get gd - fm or good ground conditions on the day rather than firm.

Funs Filly Farm, still reeling from shock "News of the World" allegations of fixing after the dissapointing performances of stars Pewter Jug and Ceylon Sapphire is strong handed to make amends in week 3 of the season.
Pewter Jug makes a quick return to action in the May Stakes where he is expected to make amends for last weeks outing as long as the ground stays on the good side of soft. This one is sure to benefit from the experience and has been found this easier race to get off the mark. Depending on the outcome, this one could be put away an aimed at a special occasion.
After work on the gallops, Shiny Silver has pleased the stable with his progress, particularly his attitude which combined with his racecourse experience should give him a great chance in the Listed Free Foal Stakes. This one likes the ground rock hard or a bottomless swamp, nothing in between, so we are hoping that the wethermen will be kind to us for this race.
Of our fillies, Emerald Girl is out for some more experience as we wait for the longer distances where we expect her to excel, any kind of result would be a pleasant surprise for her.
In the same race Opal Dreams has a chance if the forecast heavy rain turns the track into a bog.
We also have our fingers crossed for Queen of Diamonds in the 1m Maiden Fillies. Could be a very close race but she is well placed depending on just how much rain falls.

A few doubts are present in the SJ Stable this week, although we will hope for the best with our horses, especially our newcomers.
Amongst the quartet in Race 2 sees our flamboyant and boystrous colt Retro Rocker take the mike, although there are concerns over his temperament and the inexperienced jockey on board. Having said that he ran a creditable 3rd on his debut, and being a sprint specialist this could be a race for him to capitalise further and beat his rivals, so long as he gets an early lead.
Race 3... talk about taking a chance! Our young filly Luxury Legs makes her debut, although the SJ team were reluctant to enter her straight into a group event. However, time will tell, and if the ground gets even a little bit damp, things could go in her favour, especially as she has the luxury :hearty of the best jockey in the race.
After two weeks of intensive training, The Lost Plot makes her debut in Race 5, and we are hoping that she doesn't live up to her name. Kolo Toure and My Mate Marmite will be her main dangers, although with a little race fixing and jinxing in the betting market, we are sure it can be arranged for her to storm home without risk of the jockey being fined. (You didn't hear it from us!) :)
Race 6 sees second-time-outer Infinite Persuasion go to post, although his ratings were overlooked last time out so he didn't gain any experience points; silly us! :icon_tong However, this fine colt should make all the running if the ground gets and stays soft, and has every chance at this long price providing that he remembers how to gallop.
Last but not least, Rebel The Stereotype is thrown in at a rather deepened end for Race 8. We have high expectations for this demanding colt, and hope he can fulfill his quest for victory with the help of his veteran jockey Graham Norton. However, there is a slight problem. The stable are thinking of giving the visor to Mr Norton to wear, rather than the horse, in a bid to help him concentrate on the finish line as opposed to eyeing up the other jockeys in the race.
That's all from us for this week, and good luck to all participants. :)

The PPP stable Needs Anti Virus Software !
Well at Vulture’s Castle we have had the Stable Mare down with a Virus, also the Head Lad has been a bit “Iffy” as well, the Vet has advised us that it would be best to rest the horses this week “light training only”, due to the circumstances at the yard and we will have to see what next week brings, It’s a shame really as we have some nice types in the yard, after the Vet has scoped the horses the week-end and given us the all clear we hope to be back in action for week 4.

PSS stable report
sadly we have had a nasty cough going round the stable this week but as soon as we finish the capstan full strength we going back to filter tips so that should help.
we have 3 out this week all of which have a hope of at least a place
in race 3 SCARBOROUGH STREAK will take her chance a lovely filly who goes on any type of ground only worry is the trip may be a bit too short.
in race 6 PICKWICK PLONKER represents the stable, a lovely individual and is at his ideal trip good to soft going would see him with a big chance.
in race 7 we have CASTLE CHOP she must have soft ground but if we get it watch her fly.
before i go i must mention BEWARE OF THE WOLF she has been training brilliantly and as soon as we get a 1m 4f race on soft/heavy she will be ready one to put in your notebooks .

RAW stable update
The season so far has not been good for the stable, but the big guns are still to come. There are 2 relctant runners this week. The original plan was to train everything this week, but the temptation to get these to out was too much
Race 6 BRONZEWING. In his first outing he finished a credtiable 5th behind the classy Reverend Johnson, who has since franked the form by going on to win the second time out too. Although Bronzewing was 5th, he was bunched up with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th and it was only due to the fact that the trip was too short that he didn't take second. He was finishing like a train but didn't have the early turn of foot to keep him there at the start. This is his ideal trip and has been trained for this distance and going. At 3rd favourite 3/1 I would advise all punters to get on him. The favourite, DAVID SEAMAN has a very poor jockey on board and as the for second favourite GOV LEPETOMANE, the trip is too short, even though the horse has a great jock and has a great temperament. She will also probably need the run.
Race 8 we see the first appearance of our expected group winner "THE WEST AWAKE". He was due to be kept back until week 5 for a build up to the group 1 races at the end of the season, but the scent of a foal was enough to bring him out early, possibly at the cost of the win.
Bred for the mile on this going, and being trained for the same thing, this colt will go on to great things. Much will depend on the weather, but the forecast is good. FULLER CLASS is the favourite and the one to beat and at 2/1 the odds seem fair. I think the ground was her undoing last time out finishing 2nd to lucky SCREAMING BANSHEE. A drop of rain will help "THE WEST AWAKE", and he is value at 8/1. This lovely horse will win a group race this year. Trust me on that.
