Samantha's Stars Stables has entered 3 runners this week.
Race 3 gives Party Girl an outing.
Sleek and slender she has a fantastic temperament, but a really bad attitude. She certainly has an eye for the boys so they better watch out,and if another filly gets near her man beware !
She is up against some stiff competition, but she loves a mile and we are hoping for good ground to get us a place.
Race 7 gives us Breakout which he may try to do when he see's who he is racing against.
This race is mainly a run out, experience for him and his not so good jockey.
Race 8 brings Gloria back to the track.
A sure eyecatcher in the paddock and a darling to work with.
We are hoping for heavy ground to give us a WIN.

"Of course we want our horses to win", says flamboyant stable boss Onlyforfun reclining in his hot-tub surrounded by naked, pneumatic fillies of the two legged human variety and a Betfair monitor with the current lay prices of this weeks FFF runners.
After yet more allegations from the "News of the Screws" surrounding large lay bets made just before the disappointing second places for Shiny Silver and Pewter Jug in week 3 he said "Just because I can make more money to pay for these young beautys, my cigars, whisky and fine wines, by laying them to lose rather than letting them - I mean training them to - win, doesn't mean I would deliberately let my horses lose, what would the owners think? Let me tell you son, theres enough laying goes on around here that doesn't involve a computer, nudge nudge, wink wink."
When the reporter pointed out that he was the registered owner of all horses trained at his yard - Obscene Indulgence Farm - he replied, "Exactly, don't want the taxman to get involved do we, and in case he reads this, I also collect antique firearms!"
After spending 5 days all expenses paid in the company of the scrupulous Mr Fun the hungover and literally shagged-out reporter confirmed "He's obviously very honest, all his wonderful nieces told me so many times, in fact as many times as I wanted if you know what I mean!"
Head trainer Earnest "carrot but mostly stick" Farqhar-Smythe said of this weeks entries.
"Sword of Steel makes a belated appearance in the Listed Free Foal Sprint. Hes a bit of a monkey this one, but the gaffer made him an offer he couldn't refuse after installing a video with a continuous loop of the Godfather in his stable so expect a good performance from this one"
"Shiny Silver has another attempt over 7f in the Vintage Stakes. As long as he gets his ground there'll be no stopping this one at the 3rd attempt"
"Ceylon Sapphire steps up to open G2 after her pleasing 3rd in the fillies G3 on the wrong ground in the Richmaond Stakes. The gaffer made a fortune on this one last time and has a big wedge on the nose for this race - but don't quote me on that!"
" We are also running Ruby Tuesday in the 1m Listed event. She probably needs further but a bit of racecourse experience won't do her any harm"
"NOW GET OFF MY LAND"

PSS stable report
with the amount of rain we've had this week training could of been difficult but with the beach to fall back on it's not been that bad[ which has pleased the local rose lovers] everything seems to be going to plan and we have 3 out this week.
Race 3 . see's the quick reappereance of PICKWICK PLONKER came back from his win last week as fresh as a daisy and raring to go any ground between good & soft should see him go close.
Race 6. SCARBOROUGH FLYER will take his chance in this one and we hope to see him lose his maiden tag, should have a good chance.
Race 9. CRACKLING is our entry in this 2 horse race and as long as the ground does'nt firm up should do the biz quite easily [only up against one of paul's should be a doddle :D ]

Here at Whispering Downs, confidence is high following last week's successes and this week sees the emergence of one of our young colts. Beach Comber is not much to look at and will have his work cut out in the first race of the day against some very nice looking juniors. Swindlehirst Farm looks 'nailed on' - and would be if this was a bit further! Shiny Silver looks pure class and with one of the top jockeys aboard, could run a big race - but only if it's a complete mudbath! Rock of Ages will also be thereabouts if the rains continue to saturate the ground and Retro Rocket would not be inconvenienced by a quagmire. But if the ground dries out just a little, AND Beach Comber is 'in the mood', he may just spring a surprise. It's going to be interesting to see if there is any support in the markets.
The NAP of the day must be our filly Shesagoer, in a match race with the unraced April Fool. I'm pretty sure that April Fool will struggle to get the trip and my only concern is that Shesagoer can be a bit lazy when hitting the front. Hopefully her experience will win through on the day.
Next week sees the first Group 1 of the season and Early Promise will probably take on the 'boys' in what is sure to be a huge event. Her regular jockey has been training as hard as the horse and both are set to run the biggest race of their career to date.
Looking to the futere, we have a superb crop of milers and intend to take the spoils in the upcoming Group races in preparation for next years classics. I have heard rumors that the antepost markets will have at least one of the stable's proteges in the top few in the betting.
Good Luck to all participants this week.

Here at Big C's Rockdude stables, the full complement of training staff have been sacked for repeatedly 'forgetting' to report for duty.... there have been stories of drunken debauchery and loud 'heavy metal' music emanating from the staff quarters on several occasions, and this has been deemed unprofessional behaviour not befitting the aims and aspirations of the Owners.... we have a new team of staff starting in time for next weeks races, and they have assured us that a good stock of Horlicks and light classical music CD's will be all we have to worry about.....

RAW update
With one 3rd place to the stables name and 2 donkeys in the background yet to run, things are looking a bit bleak. Every time a RAW horse runs, the comment is usually "Ran like a pig" and "Unexpectedly poor".
Anyway, the second trainer has been dismissed and the horses have been threatened with a trip to France to visit their canneries. :yikes:
We shall see some improvement in the coming weeks for sure !!! :wink

Evening folks!
After a bit of a dismal week with some unlucky performances last week (blame Graham Norton!) we have decided to take have a small rethink here at the SSS Stable to reassess our horse's racing entries.
However, we still have two horses being entered into the competitive races this time. Firstly, the feisty Retro Rocker dives head first into the Group 3 event; hopefully he will be able to come up against the best of them and gain his first win here at the track.
After rigorous training, sexy streamlined Perfect Model returns in a mighty bid to continue her unbeaten run and make it three wins from three. We are already confident she is a beautifully bred filly, and hope that she will be able to gain a Group 2 win to add to her tally.
It's quality not quantity, and we are moderately confident that we can expect solid runs from each of our horses this week.
Good luck to one and all... oh and before I forget, BigC, the classical music won't do your horse's morale or attitude any favours! :yikes:

There's an old saying that says something about 'music soothes the savage beast' - well some of my horses need a bit of soothing - one just bit my hand as I was feeding him a lump of sugar.... maybe I'll play them some Gareth Gates - that'll send them comatose.... :D

You could always get them aroused and play some Kylie, and then with a bit of breeding you'll have about 50 horses! :D

After a quiet couple of weeks at the Winners By Far stable, mainly due to the fact that our best trainer has been busy elsewhere, it's about time we brought you up to speed with our inmates.
This week we are delighted to welcome Liberty, a 2yo colt to the stable. He has yet to arrive and settle in but I am informed that he is a good looking sort and I have high hopes for him already. Liberty joins us of course thanks to the unexpected win by Buck The Trend last week.
This week sees just two runners from the WBF stable in action, both in the same race. Flying Foxtrot is our main contender in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes with Lusitania being sent out for some good experience and a real test of ability. Both runners would prefer the ground to be good rather than firm. The field looks strong but we are hoping for at least second from one of our runners.
The rest of the WBF stable will be undergoing a strict training regime to prepare them for the races they have been earmarked for.
