Evening all,

Well the sun has finally set on another days racing at Win2Win Downs. We had 2 Group 1 races this week, the best of which being the Fillies Mile which was won in gritty style by Party Girl from the SAM stable. I'm sure the stable weren't expecting this win, but it's just reward for the effort put into the training regime over the past few weeks.
The odds on Favourite Rose Of Oldham was back in second place, but not disgraced, and put up a nice Race Rating, and I'm sure there's more to come from here. Fuller Class was 3.5 lengths back in 3rd on less than ideal ground, one for the notebook for sure.

In the 2nd group 1 race, Shiny Silver took the honours in the 3 horse race by an ever increasing 20 lengths!!....the field was weak, but the race rating of the winner wasn't!!

The Free Foal race was won by WBJ's Picksixtrix in her first outing to the track, a nice performance and one that I know pleased the stable.

Performance of the day had to be Big George in the Royal Lodge Stakes, putting up a massive 121 race rating, pulling clear from the very useful Buck The Trend of the WBF yard.

Race Ratings - I have added these to the race results to give everyone an idea of how their horses have run, and also an edge to their class, and future aspirations. Treat these figures like Handicap figures, Racing Post figures, or US Beyer Figures.......the higher the figure, the better the run. These figures will be used for handicap races in season 2, and also for the Hall Of Fame entries.....if you have 5 group 1 wins with low Race ratings, you're unlikely to get into the Hall Of Fame.

If anybody has any queries or thoughts about the ratings, please ask, and I'll try to explain.

Mark.

Secret undercover reporter 'Newshound' reporting once again from deep in the heart of the Whispering Downs Stables where the horses have been struck down by a mystery 'bug'.

Rose Of Oldham reportedly missed her feed today and she looked below par out on the track. Stayzallday looked to be struggling with the trip (although to be fair, the ground came up more lively than he likes). And with the stable's other runner, Shesagoer also out of the frame in what looked like a straight-forward event, questions must be asked whether the good start was simply beginners luck or is there some more sinister plot afoot? (Lot's of Pick 6 tickets and other multiple bets went down with hot favourite Rose of Oldham!).

We will have to see if there are any excuses next week!

Sams stars stables had employee problems this week, and renovations going on, so unfortunately I was unable to attend the race meeting.
What can I say,
Runaway ran as expected - all over the place.
Captain Crash we were very pleased with, he is tough one, and doesn't give up without a fight.
Party girl the star of the show. We always knew she had it in her, but her attitude and eye for the boys usually gets in the way. It looks as if the horse whisperer we employed - Robert has had a good effect on her, although he did quit last week due to the constant injuries he was receiving from her.

The SOF stable are pleased this week. Waco Kid won his first Group race but the other three runners finished last in their respective races. Hedley Lamarr and Lilli Von Schtupp ran to their usual lousy form and I'm Tired managed to finish in the Group 1 race in last place but still picked up a nice fat paycheque for her trouble. The stable won on the betting also as we knew that I'm Tired was never a 1/2 favourite (more like 100/1). I'm Tired has now finished last in each race she has ever entered and picked up over £1000 in prize money!
