I'd like to bid for other horses but there are only 2 left that I can bid for and I'm basically bankrupt. Guess you guys with the cash will get them. I hope it was worth it. Marky, I think you need to add something to encourage people not to part with the whole bank. What has a person got to lose by bidding the whole bank ? Nothing at this point. If they needed to keep money to enter horses for racing entry fees it may have detracted one or two players....

Good thinking Nick.....I will post a list of all horses that didn't receive bids tonight.

People will need their money in season 2 to supplement for the classics, and also for when breeding comes into the game. I do agree that money shouldn't be the be all and end all of things, but in reality, think Godolphin, Surroor, Stoute etc the best horses go where the money is.
I'm not saying that the horses that are up for bids are the best. There were some VERY cryptic clues given to the horses potential, and some people have picked up some VERY big bargains. In fact EVERY stable has picked up some nice horses. This was part of my plan when distributing them as fairly as possible.
As Sam mentioned earlier she didn't get any of her top 2 picks on colts or fillies, but the ones she did get !!...well that would be telling!!!

Money shouldn't be everything, I agree, but it does play a part in the reality of it all.

I know its a bit late, but an idea!

To prevent last minute gazumping and claims of unfair play, what about if at 8:00 if anyone declares an interest to increase the highest bid it goes to sealed bids at 8:05, rather than have 5 people argue over 333 in the last 2 minutes!

Will stop people getting beaten by £0.01 at 7:59:99

I agree with what you're suggesting, however many people will have made their final bids, and/or will not be online when the closed bids offer is made. Therefore I don't want to go down this route this time, due to people not knowing beforehand.

I hope this sounds fair.
