Consider it changed :D

I think it may affect a few of the new auction horses due to the way the experience now works at my end. I'll manually change it for these horses.

Race 9 is a cracker! Pity a few of my races at Ayr didn't pick up entries.... oh well, was worth a try to get a few handicap races in for the lesser horses....

I'll try to get the markets online by lunchtime tomorrow.

BigC - I thnk the problem might have been the 'in between' distances. The 'lesser' horses seem to be pretty straight forward animals with only one distance that the trainers try to get the best out of.

Handicaps are one part of the game that will be looked at during the close season. I'd like to see more 'bread and butter' races but there are too many 100+ horses now to encourage trainers into these races. We might need to look at some 'devaluation' but this will need some serious thought to make sure the 'true' group horses don't end up as beach fodder.

Cheers Oldham, I guess choosing the inbetween distances backfired somewhat, not a problem... I know what you mean about the handicap ratings though... perhaps we need to look at a formula to make the difference between best and worst horses a bit more.... maybe taking the bottom horses down to ratings in 50's to 70's, or even less as with the regional racing. Just a thought :)

Celeron Babe, Double Millenium and Sarky's experience is 25, and not what is stated on the racecard.

I have altered all the auction horses to reflect their true experience.

The reason it was incorrect is that the sim now looks at every race ever run, and adds the experience based on the number of runs where the distance figure and race distance meet the right criteria. All the auction horses races were made up, and therefore the sim was not adding the relevant figure.

Easy really :doh
