betfair won't load on my new PC

this is starting to annoy me now. but i just cannot get betfair to load on my new PC.
i have fiddled arround with IE setting's - cookies allowed, low security setting's etc.... but nothing. - all i get is (bottom left hand corner) opening page betfair,com - but nothing - you can leave it an hour and it wont load (i tried). every other website works and my connection is fine.

i have tried firefox aswell as explorer, and tried going to betfair - via links / search engine / typing into the address bar - nothing ;fire

anyone know what the problem could be?

You do have Java installed? If not go to 'Sun Microsystems Windows Xp Download' (Google)

java is installed keith, - i downloaded the newest version aswell. - still nothing :(

Fiddle with the security settings, and try it with a firewall off.

i un-installed the virus checker / firewall (comming to the end of a trial period) and it is working now.

Make sure you do have a firewall though, even if it's a free one. Worth paying for though.

i will, - i currently have the window's one going at the moment - that work's ok with betfair. i will download the grisoft AVG antivirus/firewall in a minuit - that works well with my old pc.
