i want to burn an album but the file is 81 minutes long and blank cd is 80 minutes.windows media player wont let it happen.any ideas ?

Take out the individual songs, and then burn them on with intervals of 5 secs.

If you get a hold of good burning software like Nero Burning Rom you can overburn by a wee bit without any problems.

I've got the Nero one. I didn't realise you could do song by song. For example, I couldn't figure out how if you burn on say 3 songs, how you fill the rest of the disk up, it wouldn't let me.

Depends on it you close the end or not, and if it's a CD-RW

I think you need to make sure the 'finalise disk' option is unchecked to be able to add more tracks later, but that means the CD is unplayable till you do finalise it.

Do you mean a re-recordable one. I've got CD-Rs

If you use a CD-RW, you can overwrite it. These have very good prices http://www.blankshop.com/

Prices are pretty good there Keith - 100 CD-R's for a tenner plus P+P :)

I've got loads of DVD cases from them, and all types of disks. My orders are usually for around £100 :yikes: All for backups!!
