On the advice of tech support regarding my on-line visa merchant Acc - I uninstalled Windows XP from my PC, and installed Windows Server 2000 instead.......They said there have been problems running their system on XP, and that Windows 2000 supports the admin and process better....
Since doing as I was advised, my computer has gone loco.......shutting itself down every 40 minutes due to a process command from system32\lsasse.exe
Any ideas.....Glos, Keith, anyone.....?

VIRUS!!! (possibly)
Check the microsoft site to find out which 'service' is attached to the file and then go to Administrator tools/services and find the offending item. Go to it's properties and make sure that the 'On fail' bit is not set to restart the system. This will buy you some time to actually find the cause.
Sorry I can't be more specific, 2k Server can be a bit of a pain when things go skewhiff.
