just done a scan and found 10 at risk files.norton asks do you want to delete these files,so i clicked yes,then it comes up delete failed.
how do i manually remove these files.

If you can't delete them it may mean the files are actually in use but you may be able to use the quarantine function. Does it actually say they are infected? If you can post the exact message you get here it might help us sort this out:)

Once they are in quarintine, they will be deleted automatically after a certain amount of time (I think)

it doesnt actually say that they are infected, it tells me that it is an adware file,and it comes up in red saying delete failed

Ah, so you have the latest version with the adware removal tools. OK, at the moment you don't have a virus, just some sort of adware. If Norton can't remove it, try installing Ad-aware

cheers fot the help bigc ive got adaware and microsoft antispyware.those 2 didnt even pick the files that norton did

just run spybot and it found 36 problems.after trying to delete i got the message saying "some problems couldnt be fixed,the reason could be that the associated files are still in use.

Your best bet would be to run Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy in Safe Mode. Then whatever it finds can be removed easily in Safe Mode.

Delete any infected files, reboot your PC. Repeat this process until all infected files are deleted, or either program cannot find anything of malicious content.
