As a new year resolution, I vowed to become more healthy.

Up until last year, I was always very healthy - I ate quite well, I done a lot of Karate and kept the drinking to a minimum.

But recently,I had to give up the karate for a while due to time constraints. I also eat hap-hazardly, and will grap a quick bag of chips instead of cooking something healthy, like I used to.

I have been 9.5 stone for 8 years (no matter what I eat or not) but this year, I have lost half a stone, which is a bit worrying as I am six foot tall, so it is noticable.

Basically, I feel a bit run down.

Anyway, until I get myself back on track with the food and karate, Im wondering about taking health supplement pills.

I know nothing about them, so what should I be taking? does anyone know anything about what pills do what?

I need something to boost my energy, and to supplement my diet. bear in mind I dont know anything about them.

Also, Is there any difference between the expensive ones, and the tesco versions?

Any reccomendations/comments?

Thanks, Wayne

It's quicker to stir fry veg than to go out to the chippy :doh

For a start you need something for breakfast, even if it is just a couple of those rabbit food bars, not the cerial sticks, too much sugar & salt.

Decent multivitams, something like 50+ from www.zipvit.com, those 'expensive' ones do not contain all the stuff these do.

Bad diet means more illness in the future, cancer, diabetes, etc.

What is wrong with cooking rice, adding stir fried veg, chicken, etc, on a weekend and freezing it? Only takes 5 mins in the micro to warm up. Then you can add one of the packet chinese sauces you can get for 70p. Just as qucik to do this as eat a very unhealthy chemical pot noodle.

Even soup & casseroles are easy to make, and can be frozen.

If you don't like things like spinach, brocolli, etc, bung them in a food shredder, and stick them in the soup or casserole, you won't notice them now, but still eat them.

What about Cod Liver Oil? someone reccommended it. what does it do?It makes me :puke that's what it does

I was recommended that and vitamin E by my tai chi teacher about 12 years ago when I had a dodgy knee. I had never puked so much in my life till that point
