I watched this last night on Sky Movies having never seen it before and not really knowing much about it, other than it was a scary film. I have to say it is one of the best scary films I have seen for years.

The filming reminded me a lot of Memento with the flashbacks and a kinda 'one step backwards, two steps forward' approach to leading the viewer through the story.

Great film and I will be looking out for Saw II coming to Sky

Yes. I have seen that too. A very good film.. although not the best set of actors you could hope for. Strangely though I think that helps with the overall storyline.
With acting as poor, it is hard to tell if they are dodgy characters in the movie, or just dodgy actors!

:D Very interesting what they do with SAW II, it's not as bad as most sequels are. Saw 3 will be out at halloween..

Imo though Mat, Saw 2 is typcial to most sequels, nowhere near as good as the first. You pretty much know what it's all about and the suspense and chill was completely gone for me.

Caught the first one a couple of weeks ago as well, one of the best and most original horror movies in years. :)
