I have just had probably the most uncomfortable 48 hours I have had in a long time.

At about 3.00am Tuesday Morning I was sick and then proceeded to be sick on the hour for about 10 hours. The last couple of times I was reaching so bad because there was basically nothing left to bring up. On top of the sickness I have had a raging temperature and sore joints. Last night seemed to last for ever - I was drenched in sweat.

Feel better today but Im so sore. My stomach is so tender - Im assuming that is where I strained myself been sick. what a horrible bug that one is, I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

Ouch, that sounds nasty.

I know what you mean about the puking till you strain your stomach though. Very painful

Sounds like winter vomiting virus, really really nasty, husband and daughter both had it last year, never seen anything like it. Seemed like far more came out than ever went in :doh
Drink lots of liquids to combat dehydration.
Hope you feel better soon :)

Very very bad, my wife thought we had a water bed I sweated so much duringthe night!

Took a couple of weeks to get over the chesty cough that followed it!

Oi!

Scaaty is probably right - it sounds viral, and probably the same sort that's been closing down hospital wards all over the place this winter again.

Absolutely right! And always understated and under-acted-on ...

IMHO people just don't realise the extent to which this helps and how persistent you have to be with it, even if you're running to the loo all the time ...

Hope you're feeling better very soon, TH, and if in doubt, drink loads and loads of water (NOT tea or coffee, both of which have a net dehydrating effect).

Cheers Roberto,

I am feeling better, just very very sore at the moment. I managed to drink a bit of water while I was been sick but probably not enough, I found it very difficult to even drink that as I felt so ill. Will make sure ii drink plenty for the next few days.
