wet crunch

had dodgy knees for a while now..mainly when i get up after kneeling down at work get sharp pains in my knees.

now today all of a sudden getting up after sitting down i hear a sort of wet creaky crunchy sound, not loud but loud enough for the missus to hear and i can feel it just below left kneecap.

what the hell is going on???

I aint no doctor Pez but that sounds like an excess of water (I think its called synovinal fluid) on the knee.

Th could be right there Peza... could also be something going on with the cartilage as well. Worth getting it checked out by the doc as soon as you can anyway, and tell him/her you've been having problems with your knees for some time now. If you're overweight that'll be the first thing you'll be told to sort though!

Just so you can all be sorry, I slipped on a piece of paper in the street... crashed down, with all the weight on my right KNEE.... b....h.... it hurt. Now nicely swollen with purple and yellow colouring-in... fortunately was wearing some thickish velour jeans otherwise would have had cuts and etc too..
goodness it hurts today... now I know why they kneecap people... agonising. Only worse bit to crash down onto is your nose.

Ouch ! That sounds painful Susan. But looking on the bright side, it's a great excuse to put your feet up and be waited on - wouldn't be able to do that if it was your nose :)
