System Restore Question

Is there any way of doing a system restore, without the pc uninstalling programs that have been added after the date you choose?

I want to restore to a date in March, but have since added the program for my mp3 player, and have lost the original cd, so I need to keep it.

Zip the program and send it to an email account online or another computer and then get it back afterwards but you may be able to restore your registry and keep programs but i am not sure how .

I think you can restore to an earlier date and it will keep any applications installed after the restore date anyway.

I'm not 100% sure though so CHECK on Google first. :)

If not, do what SC suggested or just write it to a CDRW.
