A Stagecoach-run coach firm that do cheap intercity travel.
I went to Sheffield this weekend and it cost me £5 there on Friday afternoon/evening and £3 back this morning. Booked on the web in advance, admittedly, but not far in advance.
I checked the prices to Cardiff (out of expectation!) the other day and it's £11 return from London. The train is five times that much!
The buses are clean and tidy and it's an excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone travelling between London and most Britsih cities
