movie downloads

can anyone recomend a good movie download site and where i can get some free software to convert the files.its got to be better than paying £4-£5 for a disc

I use Anymp4 Media converter - but it's pretty basic.

i want to download movies and then convert the files, and then burn to disc,so i can watch on my dvd player

You could give the aforementioned software a tryout but I doubt you'll get anything that does it for free - and then there is the small matter of copyright - most of the reputable converter/burner packages may have restrictions in place to enforce copyright regulations (usually making sure you download from sites where you pay, so I doubt you would be saving anything).

A google search for "video to dvd" might produce some results worth checking out.
