if you have a wireless mouse and keyboard, keep a spare set of batteries at close call.i was in a poker tournament yesterday, 2 of us left,i had a massive chiplead and the batteries died in my mouse.i tried to plug the old mouse back in,but that wouldnt work untill i restarted the pc.so i was not amused when he raised every hand and won all of my chips

Doesn't your OS/software warn you when the battery levels are low?

its new to me, i only bought it last week.it is supposed to warn me in the bottom right hand corner, but it didnt.so now i've gone back to a plug in mouse and still use the cordless keyboard.obviously the batteries will last longer in the keyboard because nothing lights up

My mouse batteries last about a month on average so it's worth investing in a recharger - if you shop around, you can usually pick one up with a spare set of batteries too. With eight batteries you should always have a spare pair of freshly charged ones to hand. The keyboard batteries have never needed replacing in 2 years.
One other tip is to prolong their life by removing one of the mouse batteries when you turn your PC off :)

Rechargable batteries are a life saver for cordless kit.... I have 4 in the keyboard, 2 in the Media Pad, and 2 in mouse!!.... plus 4 on charge at ALL times :D
