film about choi bae-dal (mas oyama) - founder of kyokushin karate. this guy was real hardcore and tops my best fighters of all time list. (also in my avatar). this guy trained in isolation at the top of a mountain 14 hours a day for 2 years, and also trained on fully grown bulls (not the pussy spanish bull fighter way) taking 53 horns and killing 3 with his bare fists.
not a huge fan of karate in general myself, but what the kyokushin fighters do is just :censored: crazy :
a kumite for the high level fighters is.
2 minuit rounds against upto 70 opposition :yikes:
no breaks inbetween rounds :yikes:
this was critisised by many other karate practitioners who said - nobody would have to defend themselves against 20+ men. but the answer was disiplin - how many men would have the diciplin and will to fight that many men.
anyway the film is on player ch123 on sky, not seen the film myself but if is just half as amazing as the true story then it will be worth watching.
