I think I have a firewall on my PC, which is affecting my BetAngel functionality as well as a few other internet issues. Is there a way I can trace my firewall on my pc and then stop it from working?

you really seriously do not want to switch your firewall off, especially if you have a broadband connection. If the firewall is causing a problem you need to tell it to allow the program to access the internet... if it's only happening intermittently though I doubt very much it's the firewall causing the problem - could be something else.

Hmmm.. Well when I log into Bet Angel is soons logs out and the following message is printed...

"Bet Angel is experiencing communication problems with the advert stream and will not be closed. Please check your internet connection and firewall setting before retying." :(

I don't think it's my internet connection, because I am still logged onto it. It seems strange, I've notcied this evening that a handful of websties I've never had problems with before won't load now, with this message appearing..

"The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings."

Tried to reboot, but had no luck with and things didn't chance. It's not a major issue, but, if you know how I can get this resolved, I'd be pleased to know.

you could try clearing cookies / temp internet files. this should clear the list of sites / connections etc that the firewall has blocked. so the next time you try bet angel, you may get a message like:

'bet angel is trying to connect to the internet - what do you want to do':
allow / block.

Tried it, but still no luck, unfortunately...

If your connecting sometimes, it ain't the firewall, as that would block you 100%.

Isn't there a BetAngel diagnostics program you can run? I seem to remember downloading one once...

Maybe, but one of the few websites I mentioned that won't currently load for me is the BetAngel one. :( . Quite a few people in the Betfair forums are also having trouble, though, so maybe it's to do with BetAngel itself in which case the problem might resolve itself soon.

EDIT: Problem now resolved by itself overnight. Thanks for help.
