Has anyone experienced toddlers getting like white spots on their tongue? I noticed it on my niece, first some small white spots looking like ulcers, but now it's spread to the corners of her mouth!! She's not ill or anything, behaving perfectly normally. Why do these things always happen on sundays? :anger

Has she had the MRA jab, as that may be the first sign of measles? DONT PANIC!!

From the dental site: http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/BHCV2/bhcArticles.nsf/pages/Dental_care_common_conditions_0_to_5_years?OpenDocument

Measles - which first appears as small white spots that look like grains of salt, surrounded by inflammation. These appear two to three days before the measles rash appears on the body.

Looking at that site, herpes and thrush were the first things that popped into my head. Have to get her doctot first thing tomorrow, thanks for swift response.

If it was you....defo STD :D

If you've got nothing better to do on a nice hot sunny day, take her down the hospital and sit in there for 6 hours!!!

Just keep an eye on it every hour.

If she has had the jab the measles will be very very mild, if at all.. sounds like a thrush infection in which case they`ll just give her tablets at the doc tomorrow. Shouldn`t worry. :hearty
