I was at The Comedy Store in Leicester Square last night and this guy was headlining. I'd never heard of him before but he was amazing.

He looks like he belongs in Limp Bizkit, that sort of overgrown skater looks with a few piercings and tattoos. But that's probably normal for Canada (for he is Canadian).

Anyway, his routine was brutal in places. There are no taboos when he is around. Shock and awe comedy that was raw, edgy, cutting and crude but above anything else it was funny and that is become rare for stand-up comedians these days.

Look out for this guy. He still has a way to go to match up to the genius that was Bill Hicks but Jason Rouse is the nearest thing I have seen to that level of comedy since Bill Hicks died.

We could have had a wee drink! :(I drank enough wee last night thank you. Three pints of John Smiths and it was like :pss. It's never been a good pint but I was paying £3 for a pint of badly-poured brown water. It was a case of drink a pint, :pss a pint back out. It was hideous. And it was the best they had. :ermmm

When you get two mintes, pop into your blueyonder e-mithers!

I have sent you a question! :wink A simple one this time! :D

Couldn't you have drank something non-alcoholic? :)

Bill Hicks was legendary, will keep my eyes peeled for Jason Rouse.

Couldn't you have drank something non-alcoholic? :)Such as? I can't be doing with paying £2 (or similar) for a small glass of Coke or anything like that. I really resent paying those prices for pop that cossts the venue so little. And I'd drink soft drinks faster than booze so I'd be up at the bar more often. It's not really an option for me.

Fair enough. You could have always had water! But like anywhere, they'd probably bottle it and charge you £1.50 or something silly. You're not alone when you think it's a complete and utter rip off buying drinks at gigs and concerts, not to mention the cinema.

If he is only half as good as the Great Bill Hicks then he is worth a look. Hicks comedy is still topical today and he has been dead for years!
