last year i managed to get a contract:
200mins any network, any time, talktime per month.
200 free text per month.
for £30 per month - with £30 cashback per month (so it's basically free)
- even got £30 by going through 'quidco'

i just rang up to cancle my contract - as i am approaching the 12 month's, and i would no longer get the cashback (so would have to pay).

and they said (for being a loyal customer) i could have:
25 mins (any network, any time) and 25 text per month. (all i need, as i don't use it much).
for £6 a month for 12 months, but they will credit me with £75 - so again i will get another year of free calls :)

i think thats worthy of a reccomendation.

Nice one Presto... :)

I'm currently on 200 anytime/network mins and 500 texts for £19.99 per month with them, this was after being with them for 2 years, they offered it to me over the phone and there was no stopping me accepting it.

Contract expires in October but as I can't get the E760 phone http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=e760&hl=en with them any more, and also because I don't see them giving me a better deal than the one I'm on (I don't really need 200 free minutes, I use about 60-90), I'm just going to stay on this phone and contract for as long as I can, ignoring any offers from other phone companies that they try and throw at me. Will simply stay with O2. :)

i thaught so too.
with the first contract (£30 a month with £30 cashback) - i asked them why they did this as it would be a loss maker for them. and the guy said 'quite openly' - over 80% of people don't apply for the cashback (send a photo copy of the quartely bill to them) - so end up paying the £30 a month.

this is my phone - http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/sony-ericsson-k300i.htm (good site for phone reviews aswell), it's probably getting a little old now, but i am no big user.
