Is it just northern teams in it.
Could you get drawn against a London / southern side in the next round?

sparkyminer
3rd November 2006, 15:19
Mrs Sparky just rung me. Her mate has had her car towed away. She drives a Lexus but is too tight to pay a quid to park it. Got back from the Arena and there it was..................gone.:laugh Oh how I laughed until Mrs Sparky says she felt partly responsible and will pay half the fine. :yikes: WTF is she on about, she didn't park the effing thing.::swear ;fire

Good going Sparky! :)

Missed out on the tix again, found out through text message at 12... and guess what... I was stuck in a bloody lecture. :(

To make it worse, Ticketmaster emailed me last night and I've only got the email.

samantha1303
8th November 2006, 22:10
Did you manage to get them the second time around John?
They all went back on sale 3 days later.
If I'd have stayed on the forum a little longer I could have let you have some, I got them incase Sparky missed out again I came on here and he gave us the news he had been lucky so I passed them on.

John
9th November 2006, 02:49
Three days later as in on Monday 6th (just gone)?

Nope, didn't get them I'm afraid. To be honest with you Sam, I've come to the conclusion than I'm not too fussed about getting them now, not just because I missed out and to buy them on eBay would cost an arm and a leg, but because I'm simply not too keen on the new album. :( For me it jumps around too much, doesn't really follow a pattern, a sequence. And while it may be a good thing that they've tried to make it different from Hot Fuss, most of the tracks (there are a couple I do like) aren't cutting the mustard for me. So no worries about passing on the tickets. :)

samantha1303
9th November 2006, 21:36
I personally don't like them so I didn't buy any tickets for myself but Sparky had mentioned to me that he was trying to get them so I got them just incase knowing I could off load them if not needed.
Enjoy them while they are here if you like them , in another 5 years people will be saying the killers who are they

John
9th November 2006, 22:39
Possibly, yeah. It seems that bands come and go a lot quicker nowadays, but I hope The Killers stay around for years to come. I mentioned on another thread about there not really being any modern day bands that are enormous like there have been in the past...

You'll go to heaven my dear.:)

Hope you had a good headbang. :D

Mrs Sparky went to the Hull bash. Very very good. She was deaf for 2 days afterwards.
I'm going to the Nottingham Arena concert. I'm trying to get in Sister in Law's box for that one (cue the jokes) but I already have lowlife tickets for normal people.:D

John
9th December 2006, 17:26
Good stuff Sir!

When do they play Nottingham? Surely your sister in law will be able to accommodate you. :D

samantha1303
10th December 2006, 23:08
The arena tour is in March.
4th I think for Nottingham.
Sparky you can't sit down thats sacriledge at a concert, get front row with the hoolies and break a couple of ribs

John
11th December 2006, 00:05
get front row with the hoolies and break a couple of ribs

And yet you complain of the atmosphere at an Oasis concert. :ermmm

samantha1303
11th December 2006, 00:16
Straight out punches to the face is a completely different issue to people having fun.
Unfortunately oasis attract these morons

John
11th December 2006, 00:23
Don't ever live in Leeds whatever you do. :D

samantha1303
11th December 2006, 00:36
I'll try not to :wink
At footie you expect a dig ,thats Leeds and we all know the score a match aint a match without the aggro wherever you are in the world following them but at a concert you don't
Its such a shame as Oasis are excellent ( imo )
I like to be front row, I expect broken ribs, and being crushed against the barrier, but I don't expect to be punched in the face by a bloke

John
11th December 2006, 00:47
I'm sure though Sam that there are people at most gigs looking to get in to a fight. I think you just tend to notice it more at concerts such as Oasis concerts because that is the sort of image unfortunately that the band attracts.

samantha1303
11th December 2006, 01:08
There undoubtably are, but usually they are towards the back, they are there cos they got cheap or free tickets, I have never experienced anything like an Oasis concert at any of the concerts I have been to and that is alot, Oasis fans wern't like this years ago so what went wrong I'm not sure but to go to a gig and have people ( they are not fans ) openly snorting cocaine, pissing their pants and punching people willly nilly is not on.
God knows I love Liam and Noel is one of the best songwriters ever but some people attending the concerts are young idiots usually students who can't hold their drink, think its cool to take drugs and then want to fight a sad sate of affairs
