I have a little question about this. I'm sure the answer will be fairly straight forward.

Why is it, that when I do a scan..it finds a load of entries...and then when I scan it again straight after it finds the exact same problems again? :doh

Are you deleting them after the scan?

after the scan, tick all the boxes - then click 'fix selected areas' - or something to that effect.

They're all ticked and then I click fix selected problems...should I be doing something else?

you could try 'immunise' so you won't get the same problems again.

You're probably just not deleting them after the scan but, you could try running the spyware in windows safe mode.

Ok I've done the scan again and it's found all the same things again...what do I do now. I pressed fix selected problems the last time...but here we are again.

You could try some other anti-spyware software, such as Grisoft's free AVG anti-spyware, to see what that reckons

That's what I use and I find it much better than Ad-aware.

I actually have that running all the time...I think it performs a scan every morning. I was just curious about Spy Bot though...

I just downloaded it and had a go and it worked fine for me. I just selected the malware (the boxes were already ticked) and pressed the fix checked button at the top and ran the scan again and they had gone.

i presto hereby retract all sponsership of this site, and i will no longer sell 'eao du vegy' perfume

getting back to more important issues (take not all politicians - HAVE A DEBATE ABOUT THE TV TAX) - you could try the microsoft anti-spyware thing, can't see much spyware getting past all 3 bits of software (AVG, spybot and microsoft). good news for all the tight scottish out there as there free :)
