Anyone used this service, any good?

Bit late to be asking this as I've already ordered it, I had read a lot of good reviews on it but have since heard some horror stories about the service :splapme

Must be better than supanet though, 4x the speed and half the price

Thing is, people only post bad reviews on the internet, not many with good service can be bothered, and that accounts for 99%+. The majority of problems are the peoples own computer and stupidity.

nearly 2 weeks since my activation date and i've yet to receive my router (cant use my own apparently).

Rang customer service, probably the worst customer service department in the known universe, and after speaking to 6 different people over nearly an hour i get told my line was, for some stupid reason, de-activated and will need re-activating before they can send my equipment.

another week to wait

not a happy bunny ;fire

The de-activation will be due to either your old ISP telling BT to switch it off, or BT just cocking up (as usual), the majority of ISP delays are due to BT.

A friend of mine moved house, and had to wait 2 months for PlusNet to transfer him.....all BT's fault.

No reason why your router will not work, you can use any, even on AOL.

I keep telling the 'tech' guys this when i ring up. I even have the exact same router that they send just without a 'Sky' badge on it yet they still wont tell me how to configure it.

They also tried telling me that it wont work because my wireless dongle is a belkin and the router is netgear....for it to work i need to purchase a netgear dongle from Sky for £25....... strange how its worked for the last 3 years :doh
