ive just recieved an e-mail saying its from aol saying my billing info needs updating if i dont act my account will be suspended.and theres a link at the bottom of the page when you click on it it takes you to a credit card page where you put in your details.

check where the email is comming from,
then check your AOL account, i am sure they will mention it there if there is a problem.
but using creditcard details to fill in anything that comes from an e-mail is a no-no.

thats what im saying presto i got in touch with aol my accounts ok they say they,ll never ask for your details

Then bin the spam e-mail and forget it. You'll get plenty of them through the years, I have had hundreds of the buggers. Always check the link by hovering over it if you can. Most times the page it takes you to will look genuine and may even look to have a genuine(ish) URL but a hover over often reveals a more suspect URL that redirects to the page you see.

I had a similar one from the Halifax the other day. They would never ask for your passwords etc in an email, so just dump them.....
