View Full Version : Waaaaahooooooo!!!!!
I have just won my FIRST EVER Sit&Go tourney! :icon_win:
On the third attempt, but nevertheless, I am so happy! :D
Special thanks to MARKWALES for giving me help and advice leading up to it, where is that green rep button? :D
I'm still crap at poker, but I did the right moves based on what Mark advised me leading up, and made a logical decision to call someone's All-In when I was holding AK Diamonds... opponent had QK... I won... bragging rights all over the thread... lovely jubbly... I'm on top of the world! :laugh

Was this the Aslyum Table, or the Under 5's? :D
Well done...another virgin bites the dust!!
Cheers Boss!
Admittedly I was a little lucky... when I called his All-In the cards were dealt... I was holding A3, he had QK. River was 3D 4H KH 5D 2C... I hit a straight on the river, if it wasn't for that I'd have lost on his pair of Kings. But a job well done nevertheless! :D

...and best of all you made a whole $11 :D
Hey! I'm not grumbling at a pocket money poker bank increase of 50.25%. :D

Shouldn't you be out drunk.....and dipping the stick in the juices of a feline student....?? I worry about you...not normal staying in playing poker at your age :)
I am... she's called Dolly... her lips move when I move my arm inside her. :laugh
More seriously, I'm minimising my "going out" lately as it's a very important time of year for me. Work now, play later, reap the benefits. Hopefully. :D
Lighting strikes twice! Just won another, nice game of poker before breakfast. :D :D

On party its $3 entry ($2.40+$0.60).The fee is crazy high but so is rake on cash tables untill the $1-2 level.$5 sng is 5+1 and $10 sng is 10+1 so its not worth playing below the $11 level unless you have rakeback
Je ne comprends pas... why is the fee important? I'm none the wiser, I just enjoy playing poker. :)

Je ne comprends pas... why is the fee important? I'm none the wiser, I just enjoy playing poker. :)You're paying $3 to enter a tournament and only $2 of that goes into the prize pool. The poker room is keeping 33% of the cash players fork out. That figure, the house edge if you like, should never be over 20% and should usually be less. Those $2 tourneys should be $2+$0.30 or $2+$0.40 at worst.
You should really be looking for the house fee to be as small as possible when viewed as a percentage of the amount going into the prize pool. You wouldn't pay Betfair 25% commission on your bets would you?
Cheers Mat, might be a good idea to shop around then. Do you recommend anywhere with a low house fee?
I'd preferably not use Bet365 after the software issues I had with them.

Same with anything John - just shop around as the prices differ all over the place. But with poker rooms the quality of opposition changes too. I'd rather play SnGs against fish and pay a house fee of 20% than play against sharks for a fee of 10%
You're not wrong about the quality differing; I played two games again yesterday and won one of them, but the one I won was much harder to win than the previous two were. Will have a look around.
Two on the trot tonight. :D
6 all-ins, 4 of which I bluffed. Not bad for a night's work.
Back to revision.

[QUOTE=John;413662]Cheers Mat, might be a good idea to shop around then. Do you recommend anywhere with a low house fee?
the only table i ever play john is a triple up on pacific(888).
it is $20 to enter and a $1 fee, which is the lowest percentage fee i,ve come across, and the winner takes all.
if you look at all the big winners stats, you will see they only play heads up or 3 on a table.
i've been playing triple up $20 entry fee since last nov,and i've earned more every week than what i earned in a factory before it closed down.

i played 3 $1 heads up tournies last night (getting back into the swing, after a long absence) - got mullered each time :splapmeI recently got back into no limit cash games. Started well enough but took a full on hammering twice the other night with QQ and tonight my reads are all wrong and I am getting caned again. Not getting the cards and have almost zero opportunity to make a move without cards either. Very frustrating
Cheers EP, I opened a Pacific account t'other day. Ran into software problems the second time I tried to use it, it seems that poker software and myself are like a chalk and cheese. Anyway, had a game earlier on there and it was working fine again, I went all in with AA, some lucky sod hit a straight by accident on the river and won, but I guess if that was me I wouldn't be complaining. Anyway cheers. :)
