Could anyone tell me if using a laptop with WiFi has any effect on Pacemakers, my neighbor who has just bought one has a pacemaker and wants to use the wireless capability, he read in his manual that it should be turned off:yikes:, checked in my laptop manual and it Say's the same.

I done a Google to find out if this is just a Caveat from the vendors, or indeed if there were any reported deaths or serious health problems caused by using a wireless network, I could not find one instance where this was true, but a lot of other household appliances had caused problems, electric drills, welding equipment, Microwaves etc etc.

Any link to an article would be appreciated to show him why he should or should not use this function.

I'm pretty certain he needs to switch off the pacemaker - otherwise, it can affect download speeds :laugh
