looks like they are making a serious bid to entice betfair customers over to the purple side, and are offering new + existing betdaq customers the ability to start on a much! lower commish rate than they are getting on betfair, you will be allowed to start on betdaq with the same ammount of betfair points that you have and the more you deposit then the lower still your commish goes. you will also pay no higher than that stated rate till the end of the year, and they are giving a lifetime guarantee that they will never increase the commish terms (like betfair did to shaft customers). - there even going to refund your first month's commission

It's a decent offer alright but is the liquidity there yet?

I put my bets on at lunchtimes and unless I can get a competitive market on Betdaq at that time I'll stay where I am. When I used to use Betdaq on and off before the money only came in to a market about 10 minutes before the off.

Just checked and at 4.16 there is £70k matched on the 4.30 with Betfair and £35k on Betdaq.

that was also my big worry, theres not a huge difference - though betfair is slightly better in terms of overound, and a lot better at ammount matched. though hopefully this move can steer a lot of betfair punters away to hopefully even things out.

I think it's worth taking up the offer if only to fix your maximum Betdaq comm rate for the rest of the year

I'm also one of those who must place all of my bets at lunchtime, but it certainly seems like a decent enough offer. Another positive for betdaq is that the minimum bet is 50c which is handy when testing out new ideas. For those of us who use euro, Betfairs minimum is €4 which can be high - especially on the lay side if you like to trial out a few systems.

I use both of them but it is getting better on Betdaq...hopefully this will make more people come over...looks like some of them are already!

i would go down to 2.75 aswell, it's been ages since i last had that rate with betfair which has shot up recently, i may have been placing fewer bets, but i can't keep my betfair commish down anymore and the lower % will help out a lot long term, may even negotiate the slightly worse odd's on betdaq.

I have no problem with moving over to another exchange, but what about the software that interfaces with Betfair that we use like Bet IE and Bet Angel?

I've done it - I've switched over to Betdaq.

I have left a small amount in my Betfair account for software and methods that rely on Betfair and have just accepted that my comm rate on Betfair will slip back to 5%. Not that it was much below that before so I am pretty happy to have switched to a comm rate of 3.75% with Betdaq

i know there is an auto-betfair, is there an auto betdaq ?As far as I know all the bots etc are designed to work with Betfair. I don't think Betdaq have an equivalent development scheme

I think VHF works on Betdaq, I know Bet-IE developers have done it in the past.
