and on the other side of the coin........................... every 80% shot gets hammered by idiots with 2 or 3 outs.
but "thats poker" they keep on telling me ;fire.
by this morning my balance had dropped down to $250 from a high of $420 last week,but this evening i've been playing mainly $5 heads up and got it up to $300 after just earning the last $5 of the $50 bonus that they gave me.
i think i'll stick to these heads up sit n gos for the next week because i like to anylize flops and "play poker",rather than sit tight on these 6 and 9 man tables only for the monters to get outdrawn timeafter time

not a bad fortnight winning $150 and now the balance goes up a few notches.
but a lot of 10% suck outs along the way.
these low stakes tables,you just got to laugh at some of the plays its just "class comedy" most of the time.its not just one or two at it,it's most of them.they will put their entire stack in on just 8 outs hoping to get straights.
i just love playing these types of sharks

and this week poker has become the hardest form of gambling again!!!
i played 6 $10 tables this morning and every push got beat;fire
kk lost to 96 both all in preflop.kk lost to qq when a king and 2 queens hit the board.
aa lost to 22,plus the other 3 games, the pushes lost while being ahead.
but overall i dont think that i have lost this week.its just frustrating when the huge hands get outdrawn hand after hand.
one a more positive note,i hardly bet horses these days,but took advantage of betfred's derby concession that if the queens horse wins the derby,all losing bets will be returned.so my £20 win got me a nice little profit of £80.(what was that jockey doing 10 yards from the line:yikes:) if he had lost that race he'd have got a right ear-bashing from the boss

at this moment in time i have to hang up my poker boots,sadly its come to an end tonight when i got raised prefop with a j7 and decided to push with ak.obviously i got called and to my despair i come up against a very good jack 7 who hits his 7 (all in preflop) again.at this moment of writing (typing) i've lost every push to absolute fish in the month of july and june and may.
there was a time a few years ago when i thought i was a good poker player.
my roi was around 18%.
these days its around -18%
.its a very sad turnaround

and what makes it harder to swallow, the people that are beating me are pot committed on the flop/turn only to get lucky on the river
we all want to win but to hit a 10% shot time after time is just taking the pi$$

its been a long time since i i last posted on this thread,i almost quit poker for good,after getting beat hand after hand but i hope im back on the trail.
i'm only playing 3-6 dollar tables thes days,but in the last 2 weeks ive won £150 dollars:hubbahubba:.
its not life changing but i hope that ive got the mentality back that i had when i "was" winning 300-400 dolllars week in week out
