Saw SLF a few times in Glasgow on St Patrick's day.... hell it was tough pretending to be a Catholic in the East End of Glasgow on that day :laugh They were always a great live band, even now they're worth catching live.. I don't think time or age has mellowed Jake Burns much.

I always loved the rawness of the pistols, especially on tracks like 'Anarchy in the UK' etc. I think Johnny Rotten lost any credibility that he had left by going on one of those reality TV borefests.

I must admit i disagree with you there Wayne - I reckon that did his credibility no harm at all, and he handled it in his own typical way by making his points, getting them across and leaving the show early on his terms. He's a national treasure, still spitting in the eye of the establishment... and more power to him for it!

You're probably right Big C - I actually did not watch any of it, as I simply hate 'reality' tv type programmes. When I heard he was in one, I didn't think it was very anti-establishment! That said, it worked well for Ozzie.

I watched it Wayne... he was a dead cert to win it and he knew it, and that was why he walked as he wasn't in it to win the show, plus he knew the producers wouldn't be happy at him leaving... he also had some personal reasons for leaving - he had actually been booked to fly on the Pan-Am flght that was bombed over Lockerbie in 1988, and only missed it because his wife took too long to pack! Since then he's had a paranoia about flying, and wen on the show the producers wouldn't even tell him if his wife had arrived safely in Australis.... And it's not like he needs the money as he's a very successful artist over in the States these days and I think he has had his own radio show over there for a few years as well...

his website is well worth a look as well
