Bad race this year compared to other years, with only a few horses keeping the ratings up. 12 runners does not make a great Arc to me.

As a rule you need a tough horse in this race, which makes Dylan Thomas stand out and Soldier of Fortune will love the ground, Authorised was beaten last time with give in the ground, and the O'Brien horse has improved.

In a couple of other races only O'Brien would concider throwing in 2 debutants in Group 1's at this meeting in soft ground, although they'll give him a good mark to work on for next year with those that gallop with them. Probably the main reason for the entries.

Yeah, I think Authorised has been hyped out of all proportion by the English press, a good horse but no superstar imo. Still though, only 3 and plenty to look forward to if he stays in training.

The race cut up a bit with Manduro withdrawing, I would have liked to have seen Peeping Fawn run as well but O'Brien knows best as the result bore out.

Well done Keith,
I hate to aftertime but it was fairly obvious that O'Brien was determined to take the race that has so far eluded him. I dutched his horses, but ended up well in profit.

That's it from Fallon for a while as he's now in court for the next few months.

I think they let Fallon keep the race, as after all he's going through at the moment, he'd have probably shot the stewards :laugh
