How they ever expected to secure a conviction is beyond me. If the charge is that they defrauded Betfair customers over those specific races, but their Betfair punter lost hundred of thousands, how could any jury convict as in reality no crime could have been committed?

I think it all started with Betfair seeing a pattern that was only there by statistical chance, and no other reason.

Will anyone in the racing hierarchy lose a job? On past experience, no.....all Old Boys together.

Just been reading some stuff on Darren Williams' interview :laugh

...the jockeys charged with race-fixing have had their case thrown out of the Old Bailey. Each of them has had two years of their careers taken from them and they deserve some serious compensation. Kieran Fallon is free to get back in the UK saddle tomorrow- and good luck to him.

Darren Williams was one of the indicted. He has spent the last couple of years in intensive media training and speech-giving lessons as he offered such diamonds in his post-courtroom interview as "we feel vindicticated" and "I can walk out of here with my held head high". Can't beat a bit of vindictication for the old held head on a Friday afternoon, can you?
