Anyone see the 2.40 at Plumpton?
The starter let them go, and because one horse didn't gallop off and wandered away he called a false start! Which it wasn't.
This is the first time I've ever seen a starter stop a race because a horse decided it didn't want to start. Breaking the tape, failed stalls, dog on the track, can all be false starts, but not because one horse has a mind of its own.
Bit of a slippery slope doing that if you ask me.
Later in the day a gambled on horse walked out the stalls at Wolves....no false start called, so everyone lost the money as usual in those cases.
