Not an easy day but a couple of bets.
2.10 Newcastle - Greek Renaissance
A little bit of faith on fittness, but if fit is a leading chance. Zidane is probably the recent form horse but I think Greek Renaissance will improve past and unlike Utmost Respect is proven class. Brave Prospector is a big danger and if able to step up to group 3 from handicap is a big danger. Utmost Respect has to be given respect due to the ground but might be one too good at this level.
3.00 Newmarket - Red Gala
A hopeful choice because he has a bit to find. But the trip is perfect and the horse can still improve. Stoute is one to keep on the right side of in races like this.
3.20 Newcastle - Bogside Theatre
Has a look as one laid out for this with a stable that knows how to get them there on the day.Good draw which seems to count here even over 2m. Good weight and goes on the ground. Should run well at an EW price.
3.45 Curragh - Finsceo Beo
Is the proven horse at this level and has found form again running well in defeat. Pace is a concern because she gallops and stays to win races not a turn of foot. The extra 2f might help mitigate against the small field. She has been running well and best form at 1m but she is really espected to improve over 10f.
