tourny going quite well today just made the 2nd break i'm 15th with 47 left need another 7 to drop out and i'm in the cash just folded QQ pre flop just before the break :yikes:
will never know if i could have won or not

woohoo made the cash but the bloody table balencing has popped me just in front of the bb after just playing the thing

silax, do you know of any good guides to read for playing small stakes nl holdem or small stakes sng's. looking at recaping on my preflop and postflop decisions.

For small stakes STTs just play tight solid poker and you'll get to the bubble at least. Then it's just a case of good bubble play - shove in position if folded to with 10xBB or less basically.

In my opinion you can't beat the Harrington books. I know people say that everyone's read them and the game has changed a bit because of that but I don't go with that view for small stakes STTs.

i wouldn't know mate never read a poker book in my life. best advise i can give is don't try to win the tourny until the final table set goals which are the breaks 1st break 2nd break gets you to the cash normally from there you can win it just need no bad luck.
in this game on the final table went all in against the winner earlier and he only had 10, 4 and hit he got lucky but i made the correct play even when i went out the same guy beat me on the river only card that could beat me was a jack which he got but i know i am the better player then him cos i had his game sussed he just got the luck today
