i'm in a big tourny 1,500 players and i have a descent stack i'm bb and i get 67 suited i have 2 callers sb and someone 3 to my right flop is A8K my suit i'm all in with 1 other he show AA and rivers another k for his full house.
lose half my chips but i'm ok ish
2 hands later AQ suited i'm all in no other callers and should steal the blinds with backup if anything goes wrong bb calls me he has AK i flop a Q and yes another K appears on the turn hero to zero in the space of a couple of hands. Normally wouldn't play AQ that way but was trying to give the impression i was on tilt and trying to steal in the hope that big stack bb would call with very little. got that one very wrong.

You didn't get it wrong at all, in my opinion. Like you said you tried to give the impression you were tilting and AQs is as pretty good hand to try that with. You were just unfortunate to run into AK.

If you'd put a raise in and got called by the guy holding AK, and then flopped AQ... would you have shoved at the flop? If so, would he have called you? My instinct says he probably would with 2 overcards, and typically he'd have gone onward to get lucky.

On the other hand if you'd flat called the BB and got the AK caller with you, then seen the flop, would you have thought to yourself, "nice move I did there slow playing Queens" only to check/raise the flop and run into AK on the turn.

Whichever way you look at it, it was the losing hand, but I think you played it pretty well.

maybe John seems to be running into the wrong hands quite a lot at the minute. looking back i should have checked the preflop then gone all in after the flop but after hitting the mother of all bad hands a few hands earlier it had interferred with my mindset and maybe i had gone in tilt mode. to get my flop flush crushed on the river did my head in. that was the hand i had been waiting for and a big place finish was there for the taking.
going through a bad run at the minute and need a cash place finish to get me back on track hopefully today
