I have little idea about what everything on the BBC site means in relation to these graphs:

And most of the other pages in this area.

I have a lot of questions to ask but in simple terms this would boil down to:

"What does everything mean?" :D

I also notice the US Dollar is awfully low. Not good for those of us fortunate enough to be going to Vegas.....

I'm asking as a man on the street... I have no understanding of stocks and shares whatsoever really, and just want to grasp what certain things mean on the site. The figures, the graph data, what causes it to fluctuate, etc.

You need someone like OFF around. That said, I may try and point you at some useful reading material later (it'll probably just be Wikipedia actually)
