And the main reason I'd never live full-time in the US.....Gambling taxes.....up to 50% :yikes: .....It was hard enough profiting in the UK when it was 10%!!! Although you are allowed a few grand when it comes to horse racing before the government steal from your good luck. :ermmm

No wonder Betfair isn't trying to crack the US, zero profit in it for them.

There are some awesome pictures of Luxor in the snow with the big laser beam shining up highlighting loads of snowflakes.

And the US govt seems to hate gambling yet Vegas (and a lot of Nevada) is built from the proceeds. The federal government want to tax gamblers as much as possible and punish poker players in as many ways as possible. Fortunately, Obama is a bit of a poker player apparently and there is a good chance some of Bush's legislation will be backed out by Obama

I heard Obama is looking to reverse the poker ban asap......I imagine it has also cost them $Billions in lost revenue, money they need right now.

"Land of the free"....as long as you don't win any money!!!...You can blame the Christian lobby for that....
