1) Best = Poker! If that counts!

2) N/A

3) N/A

4) Is this like best/worst decisions? Best decision - moving to London. Worst decision... deciding to stay in York until May.

5) Haven't seen that many this year... Casino Royale was good... Quantum of Solace was awful.

6) Radiohead were awesome live in June, Kings of Leon were too (2 weeks ago) - the sound quality at Wembley Arena is amazing. Other music I can't get enough of would include DUFFY, I think she's a heck of a talent, streets ahead of other female artists, and Rockferry is an absolute gem of an album. I think she's fantastic. Also love MGMT's album.

1 - n/a

2 - Best - Kauto Star, worst - don't know

3 - Best - difficult, maybe Hayley Turner for hitting that ton. Worst... the usual suspects :laugh

4 - not really sure what I should be putting here!

5 - The Dark Knight as best film. Worst - Meet The Spartans, or You Don't Mess With The Zohan - not just 2 of the worst this year, but 2 of the worst ever!

6 - Best Gigs - of course, Motorhead and Saxon touring together. Worst - don't do bad gigs!

Best album - tough one this with Motorhead, Tom Jones, Airbourne, Black Stone Cherry, Whitesnake, Mick Hucknall, AC/DC, ALice Cooper, Uriah Heep, Queen, Metallica, Guns'n'Roses all releasing great albums.... but the winner is.... Whitesnake by a whisker from AC/DC.

Worst album - Willie Nelson & Wynston Marsalis - Two Men with the Blues - boring jazz drivel, not what the title would suggest.

1 Bet - Best had to be when Duff ran not so long ago.
Not only did I have a largeish sum on him to win, but I also decided to do a couple of fun bets with stray funds I have in accounts I don't really use anymore a treble and a trixie they came up and because Duff was in the bets it made them a nice return.
Worst - Any one of the daft bets I've put on because of the name.

2 - Horse - The best horse has to be Kauto Star.
Worst , not sure on that one.

3 - Jockey - Best has to be Sam Thomas.
Worst - McCoy because I can't stand him.

4- Year - Best thing this year was my holiday in Almeria, I went on a few but that one was special.
Worst - Moving House, not the actual moving but the renovations, if it could go wrong it did do.

5- Film - I don't watch many and pick them up because I like them rather than because they are new so I am going with best and worst I have seen this year.
Best -Saw v excellent as usual I worry about the writer though he has one warped mind.
Worst - 1408 spent the whole time waiting to be scared.

5- Concert Best - Mercury Rev in Belfast, I love Belfast and I love Mercury Rev so put the two together and it's awesome.
Worst - Songs I could pick quite a few so I will go with the most recent Peter Kay aka Geraldine it's driving me nuts.

Worst - (most disappointing) - Mr Pointment

3. Best - tricky this but between McCoy, Ryan Moore or Hayley (for making history)
Worst - Catlin (in any race over 6f), Spencer and Colin Bolger (absolutely useless)

4. Best - My wife giving up her job
Worst - My wife giving up her job.

5. Best - Can't think of any
Worst - High School Musical 3 (sometimes I hate my kids)

Best Bet - Susanwells' big win treble which resulted in a large donation to my Sport Relief effort. Thanks again Susan.

Worst Bet - 'Greening up' after taking 120 on Betfair and Laying off in running at 16. The nag just carried on and won the race!!

Best Horse - Curlin - highest ever rated horse on a Dirt track.

Worst Horse - Mr Incredible (I own a small share in this one) - after spending 8 months 'on holiday', he has run well without winning and is costing me a fortune!

Best Jockey - Michael Geran - OK, maybe not the best, but this guy knows his job (and the horses he rides) and gives 100% every time he rides.

Worst Jockey - Darren Williams - again, probably not the worst, but I think jockeys who put up 'overweight' in handicap races shouldn't be riding the horses!

Best of the Year - Buying myself a Sony DSLR camera and a range of lenses.

Worst of the Year - 8 months on the wrong meds.

Films - I wait for the DVD and there hasn't been much worth buying since Pan's Labrynth last year.

Best Music - I started listening to Scooter this year but apart from that I haven't heard much to make me want to rush out and buy.

Worst Music - Pop Idol/X-Factor 'stars' - never been a fan of TV talent shows and if these are the winners, I'm glad I didn't have to suffer through watching any of the shows!

1) Best Bet - Man Utd to win the Champions League. It pretty much paid for my trip to Moscow.

Worst Bet - Cheltenham, the whole festival was a bit of a disaster for me.

2) Best Horse - Zarkava

3) Best Jockey - Hayley Turner for making history

4) Best of the year - see best bet!

5) Best Film - nothing stands out for me.

Worst Film - The Day The Earth Stood Still. Had the potential to be great but they made a balls of it.

6) Song/Music/Concert - Best album for me is Kings of Leon, Only By The Night is a cracking album, not a bad track on it. A mention for Chinese Democracy aswell, worth the wait in my opinion.

Although not the worst album released last year, Coldplay Viva La Vida was very disappointing. Too many repeat tracks and the 'bonus' type abum released in November bugged me with 3 more repeat tracks included. Between the 2 of them they could have made a great album.

Best concert would have to be Kings of Leon at the o2 in Dublin. Caleb Followill has an impressive voice which holds up really well live. Velvet Revolver at the Ambassador in Dublin a close 2nd.
