Game on.......
Each week runs from SUNDAY to SATURDAY
WEEK 11
00:00:00 Sunday 10th May - 23:59:59 Saturday 16th May
You start with 3 Lives AND 3 Jokers.
The aim of the game is to preserve your Lives for as long as you can, by 'backing' the correct outcome of racing & sports events, along with tactical use of your Jokers........to ultimately knock out all of your opponents to become the last player in the game & bag the prize.
Once your Lives have gone......you are out of the game.
Surviving Jokers cannot be used once your Lives are gone.
Played tactically, Jokers can be useful for staying in the game.
Each week you must post EITHER...
a) 2 bets at MINIMUM odds of 1.5 (exchanges) or 1/2 (bookmaker sites).
b) 2 Jokers instead of bets, in order to preserve your Lives.
c) 1 bet at MINIMUM odds of 1.5 (exchanges) or 1/2 (bookmaker sites) & 1 Joker.
d) As the game progresses....whatever you have left to survive...
BONUS LIVES
At the end of every SECOND week, if you still have a life intact, you will automatically receive a bonus life (up to & including WEEK 6).
You can ALSO earn EXTRA BONUS Lives as follows:
At the END of each WEEK, your P/L total will be checked, & if it matches or exceeds your current PROFIT TARGET, you will be awarded a BONUS LIFE.

Your P1 bonus life will be awarded at the END of the WEEK your P/L total reaches or exceeds your initial PROFIT TARGET of +2pts.
Your P2 bonus life will be awarded at the END of the WEEK your P/L total reaches or exceeds your revised PROFIT TARGET of: P/L amount achieved at time of P1 bonus award....PLUS 2.5 pts.
Your P3 bonus life will be awarded at the END of the WEEK your P/L total reaches or exceeds your revised PROFIT TARGET of: P/L amount achieved at time of P2 bonus award....PLUS 3 pts.
Your P4 bonus life will be awarded at the END of the WEEK your P/L total reaches or exceeds your revised PROFIT TARGET of: P/L amount achieved at time of P3 bonus award....PLUS 3.5 pts....and so on.
If a bet loses, you lose a life.
Bets can be on ANY sport or event.....however....
Duplicate bets by different players are NOT allowed.
LAY, IN-RUNNING, MULTIPLES and SPREAD bets are NOT allowed.
Bets must be BACK bets to win/place the outcome/result of each event specified.
Asian Handicap bets are only allowed as long as the bets DO NOT include a DNB (Draw No Bet) option.......ie stake or part of stake returned if the event outcome results in a draw/tie.
Bets are accepted on a first come first served basis.
Bets must be settled by the end of the week in which they are posted.
Your bets can be posted at ANY time during each 7 day period, ie they don't both have to be posted at the start of each week......you can post them on the day of the event if you wish.
When posting your bets you MUST include:
Date of event
Event
Selection
Type of bet......win, place, number of goals, under/over, HT/FT etc etc.
Odds
Name of exchange/bookie offering the named odds.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Just to clarify the rules, to prevent any possible misunderstandings.....
Players DO NOT have to reach their profit target EVERY week.
Players can slowly build up their P/L total over several weeks to reach their profit target by posting small odds winning bets. This just means you will earn bonus lives at a slower rate.
Of course, you can post higher odds winning bets to reach your profit target & earn bonus lives sooner if you so choose......but beware.....you only have 3 lives initially to lose.

BONUS LIFE EXPLANATION
Just a note to try & explain the bonus life scenario in the Players Table.....
Ada has reached the end of WEEK 2 with a P/L total of +2.84 pts.
This has exceeded the P1 bonus life Target (Targ) of +2 pts, thus earning a bonus life.
You will notice that Ada's Profit Target (Targ) is now set at +5.34 pts.
The KILLER Rules say:
Your P2 bonus life will be awarded at the END of the WEEK your P/L total reaches or exceeds your revised PROFIT TARGET of: P/L amount achieved at time of P1 bonus award....PLUS 2.5 pts.
So....Ada's P/L total at the time his P1 bonus was awarded was 2.84.
His P2 bonus will be awarded when his P/L total increases from this amount by 2.5 pts......+5.34 pts.
He has also received a bonus life for successfully reaching the end of WEEK 2 with lives still intact.

Yes.....I spotted that earlier & PM'd BigC to let him know.
What I have said to him is that if your WEEK 5 Bet 1 wins, then you will be playing your MK Dons bet & BigC will have to post an alternative bet in an event later today/this evening (or a JOKER).........BUT if your Bet 1 loses you will be playing a JOKER instead of the MK Dons bet, thus allowing BigC to play the bet himself.
Hope that makes sense.
If you disagree with the above.....please let me know & we'll thrash out another solution that everyone is happy with.

Yeah you're probably right Ada but we all know that every bet is risk, no matter what the price. I really did think Utd were up against it needing a win and given the English teams record at Porto,only something as high as a 3-3 draw would've taken them through outright. But on the upside, Utd are through....but a mistake more than likely as you say.

You might have had problems getting better than 1/2 odds though, most bookies would run a mile rather than offer odds on that! :laugh
