Ah well, it seemed quite apt for a title.
Cheltenham Festiva is over for another year, and what a festival it was. One of the best since... well, last year anyway!
I loved seeing old Kauto Star back to his best. Returned my losses from last year with a magnificent turn out.
Missed old Spotthedifference though, but at the same time, it was good to see Nina Carberry in the winners enclosure at Cheltenham.
Looking forward to a great feast of football this weekend. We start with the Man Utd Liverpool game at 12-45. I reckon Man United will win but am hoping for a cracking game. Whether that will come to fruition with both teams coming off the back of successful Champions League games remains to be seen. I reckon a few players may be rested.
My banker of the weekend will be Everton. At home to Stoke. Two away points collected all season I think. Everton are still in with a chance of a Champions League Spot, so I don't think they will have an eye on the Cup Semi against Man Utd.
As for Orient, I see we have been tipped up in Sporting Life's betting site to wi at Stockport at 9-2. I don't think we're playing well enough to win at Edgeley Park, but a point would be a terrific achievement and be 1 point closer to safety. We can but hope. Loan signing, and in his 3rd spell at the club, Scott McGleish has been terrific. Still has a great engine at 35 years old, certainly playing his way into becoming an O's legend, if he isn't already there.
Game of the day in League 2 sees Brentford take on Wycombe Wanderers. Wycombe have been faultering lately whilst Brentford have been going great guns. Latest form suggests that Brentford will be victorious under former O Andy Scott, but regardless, it should be an interesting one.
Other games that caught my eye were Leeds at home to relegation threatened Swindon. Yeovil found the force of Leeds too much to handle on Tuesday and came away on the wrong end of a 4 goal thrashing. Swindon will struggle to do any better as Leeds use their home form to bolster their chances of securing that all important play-off place.
Saturday Football Bets
3 Points - Manchester United @ 10/11
2 Points - Everton/Leeds @ 4/3
