If I'd dutched 35 of the field, I still wouldn't have got the winner!!

Do they now have to explain the run to the Stewards like they do on the flat?

1/2 the field ran a mile further than him with the starter piddling about :wink

How sad is this, no wonder bookie profits are up:

SF £1,146.54 :ermmm

100/1 & 14/1 :doh .....maybe it was because it started in the favoured 'stall 1'

The final 'show' before the race on BBC showed just the top 10 in the betting - and 9 of them had shortened drastically from the opening show with one holding the same price. Considering they kept telling us about all the outsiders that were attracting money (e.g. Chelsea Harbour and Cerium backed down from 100/1 and 200/1 respectively) where did the bookies offer the higher prices? I suspect they simply started with a 120% book and let it go to 140% by the start of the race (not that it matters, they've probably pocketed enough on one race today to last them the year!)

I was astounded by the stamina of the winner. How it had the gall to run the last furlong of a 4 mile race! :D

Wonder if anyone done a treble on the last 3? :ooo

If it wasn't for the nag winning, Comply or Die would be a hero, and his trainer a miracle worker!

I thought it was an excellent ride by the jockey. Nice and steady all the way round, keeping plenty of space between them and the other horses.
