The game will be played over the duration of 31 days.
The game consists of 3 stages:
1) DAY 1 - DAY 25 inclusive (Round 1).......NORMAL Game rules apply (see below).
2) DAY 26 - DAY 28 inclusive...........Betting rules are the same as in Round 1 EXCEPT that ONLY the TOP 8 players from Round 1 take part & they may now stake anywhere between a minimum of 4 points & a maximum of whatever they have left in their Bank, on their bet(s) each day.
PLEASE NOTE: There is still a maximum total of 4 selections per day.
3) DAY 29 - DAY 31 inclusive........Betting rules are the same as in Round 2 EXCEPT that ONLY the TOP 5 players from Round 2 take part to battle it out to become the 4pt Daily Bet Champion.
Each player starting from DAY 1 receives a betting bank of 100 points.
As the game progresses players are also awarded up to 5 NAP bets (see explanation below).
Apart from eliminations at the end of stages 1 & 2, if at the end of ANY day, a player's bank balance has dropped to zero, they are out of the game.
New players can join the game any time up to DAY 25....they will receive their Betting Bank points as follows:
For example if you join the game on DAY 10 you will start with a Bank of 64 points....(9 days missed @ 4pts (36)....100pts - 36 = 64)
....if you join the game on DAY 17 you will start with a Bank of 36 points.....(16 days missed @ 4pts (64)....100pts - 64 = 36)
Normal Game Rules (Round 1)
From DAY 1 to DAY 25 inclusive each player must stake 4pts of their betting bank on single BACK bets to Win, EW or Place only. No LAY or Multiple bets allowed
The 4pts can be split into more than one bet if the player so desires.
For example.....
You could bet 4pts on 1 x selection to win/place.....OR....
You could bet 2pts EW on 1 x selection.....OR....
You could bet 1pt on 4 x selections to win/place.....OR....
You could bet 1pt EW on 2 x selections.....OR....
You could bet 3pts on 1 x selection to win/place & 1pt on 1 x selection to win/place....
......you get the idea?
No fractional point stakes are allowed.......ie....a 1/2pt EW bet is NOT allowed.
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO
You must post ALL of your day's bets before the start of your first race.
Each player MUST post (preferably in race order, if posting more than 1 selection)
i) Time-Meeting-Selection-Bet Type: WIN-PLACE-EW (MANDATORY)
ii) Number of points staked (whole points only)
FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL VOID YOUR DAY'S BETS
Please Note: Players are encouraged to post a secondary selection(s) with each bet, to replace their primary selection(s), should it/they become non-runners.
However.....
......if players choose to post only 1 selection in a bet, & it turns out to be a non-runner.....then the bet stake will be deducted from their Bank, UNLESS they post a replacement selection(s) BEFORE the end of that day's racing.
Anybody failing to post on any day will have that day's 4pts stake deducted from their Bank.
Similarly players who fail to stake their full 4pts on any day will have the difference deducted from their Bank.
There will be NO concessions for days off/breaks/holidays during the game as this could put 'everyday' players at a disadvantage.
ROUND 2
The aim of Round 2 (DAY 26, DAY 27 & DAY 28) is to get yourself into the TOP 5 of the leaderboard, as the players in 6th, 7th & 8th at the end of DAY 28 (Friday) will leave the game.
Players may now stake anywhere between a minimum of 4 points & a maximum of whatever they have left in their Bank, on their bet(s) each day.
As soon as a player's Bank reaches 0pts, they will leave the game.
PLEASE NOTE: There is still a maximum total of 4 selections per day.
In order to maintain fair play, & avoid any dubious tactics.......
Players MUST post any replacement selections in their primary post along with their first-choice selections.
The only exception to this is if meetings and/or races are abandoned at short notice.
Players who FAIL to post replacement selections along with their first-choice selections will have EITHER the stake OR 10pts for each non-runner deducted from their bank, whichever is the greater.
Players who FAIL to post any selections at all on any given day will have 20% of their bank total deducted from their score.
FINAL ROUND 3
The aim of the Final Round 3 (DAY 29, DAY 30 & DAY 31) is to get yourself to the TOP of the leaderboard.
Players still stake anywhere between a minimum of 4 points & a maximum of whatever they have left in their Bank, on their bet(s) each day.
As soon as a player's Bank reaches 0pts, they will leave the game.
PLEASE NOTE: There is still a maximum total of 4 selections per day.
In order to maintain fair play, & avoid any dubious tactics.......

NAP Bets
Each player will receive 1 NAP Bet on DAY 1, DAY 8, DAY 15, DAY 22 & if they are still in the game, DAY 26.
A NAP Bet is not an extra bet, it just means that you can 'mark' one of your daily selections as your NAP of the day.
When you 'mark' a selection as a NAP Bet, the SP Odds for the selection are DOUBLED.........ie a winning WIN bet at SP odds of 2/1 will pay out at NAP odds of 4/1..........a winning 1pt PLACE bet at 7/2 SP odds would normally earn you 0.7 pts profit, but played as a NAP bet, it would boost that to 1.4 pts profit. EW NAP Bets are also paid out at double SP odds.
NAP Bets can be played at ANY time throughout the game. For example.....rather than play them as soon as they are issued, if they wish, players can 'store' their NAP bets in order to play them tactically later in the game to possibly boost their bank balance to progress to the next stage.
Players can 'mark' only ONE selection as a NAP bet on any particular day. ie if a player posts say 3 selections on a particular day, only 1 of the 3 selections can be 'marked' as a NAP Bet.
All NAP Bets MUST be played by the end of DAY 28. Any unused NAP Bets will become void after this time.
The game consists of 3 stages:
