Decent day so far. Threatened to pull away a few times but frustrated by an 8.80 winning lay this afternoon and Ogre in the 8.30 at Epsom which I matched at 5.1 earlier today but which was around 3.50 at the off. :(

The whole day rides on a double lay called Cape Melody in the 8.40 at Newbury. If it loses, I am guaranteed a profitable day but, if it wins, I am guaranteed a losing day.

Not easy finders losers tonight :doh

Surprised most of the horses didn't drop dead in the heat this afternoon....it was 92F here up a Welsh mountain :ooo . Hottest since I moved here, and only 94F in Vegas :rolleyes:

5 from 8 on the backs, up 9.85pts

I'd settle for more days like today
