Hi i have also used ebuyer i got my laptop from them fast delivery and never it came with higher specs than quoted on their, i have also found microdirect to be a good site especially for components as i usually build my own desktop pc's or upgrade them using their site without any problems.

local computer shops will build you a very good high spec pc for a good price. I guess you already have some parts that might be useful, e.g. case, graphics and sound card, hard drive etc.
Also, I got my mother-in-law a PC from Ebay (used one of the shops on there). It was lterally half the price of the same spec PC from PC World and was next day delivery.

It's usually cheaper buying one off the shelf rather than building one unless you want something specific.
Ebuyer, Misco, Dell & Aria sell good priced units.
