Blue Screen of Death

My girlfriend as gone away and comes back on saturday and she as left her laptop with me and now it as got the blue screen of death it will start up but just keeps rebooting all the time i have tried everything even to format and wont let me not even safe mode anyone got a clue what to do.

I'm just fixing my Dad's laptop now which was doing the same thing, a lot of the disk got corrupted for one reason.

Boot from the Windows CD and enter Recovery Mode

Run CHKDSK /r

If that doesn't work, you will need to boot from CD again and run the full windows fix.

cheers keith it wont do anything from cd just trying to get a recovery disk for it see how that goes i have just text her and told her about it any spare rooms going cheap :helper

Running a recovery disk reformats the drive so last resort!

It should boot from the Windows cd!! That's if it is an actual Windows cd.
