I needed that - I had a good wedge on Jaunty Journey at 6/1 which helps recover some of the recent losses :thumbs

I had Jaunty Journey but I'm still getting slaughtered. :(

I had Jaunty Journey but I'm still getting slaughtered. :(Oh the lays are causing me grief still, as are some of the other back systems but Jaunty Journey was on my biggest win bank and one other decent sized one too so it was a much-needed cash boost to the overall standings even if the lays are trying to sap my banks

The combination of losing backs and winning lays is hurting me.

Lysander was a double lay, High Heeled was a lay and beat Harbinger which was a double back, Sir Pitt and State Fair were very disappointing.

The Trainer 3 can change all that as could a long overdue Mark Johnston long-priced winner. :thumbs

Slip winning at 8.14 compounds a miserable day. :(

An absolutely shocking day just got considerably worse with yet another lay going in at 9.6 in a race that contained two losing backs. ;fire

Yup, this is turning into a bad one - with the W2W lays doing most of the damage it seems

Indeed Mat.

Did I miss a post in which Keith said he was altering the rules to increase the number of qualifers?

I only ask because we went from having around five a day to substantially more. Something appears to have changed because I am now finding a lot of qualifiers that are also backs which was never previously the case.

This is just an observation by the way and not a criticism! :)

Well, the jockey on Hellbender in the last (my back) eases up with fifty yards to go thinking it's in the bag. This allows the Win2Win Lay to claim a dead heat.

A fitting end to an awful day. :(

Did I miss a post in which Keith said he was altering the rules to increase the number of qualifers?I dunno, and I wondered the same recently.

The W2W lays are by far my worst performing lay system. I have never really got the bank off the ground and it has stayed a small bank but even so it has taking a caning recently. I have used it to keep my turnover going and reduce my commission but I can't afford to keep it going for that reason alone

3 from 9 on the backs, up 7.37pts

The profit from those backs was nearly all wiped out by the lays though, 14 winners from 57 leaving me down a huge 32.21pts.

Not a good day :(

I had one of my worst days ever today and have lost a fifth of my Betfair balance in the last three days. :(

I've just had a quick look at those W2W lays. The SR is down in the last few months which, unsurprisingly, has seen a significant downturn in my bank. They are my only lay system that has a net loss in points terms and so I'm afraid has to go.

I am going to do a more detailed analysis in my gamblog
