Fifa will name the hosts for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups in Zurich on Thursday, with England - hoping to stage the tournament for the first time since 1966 - in the running for 2018.

Is there any sort of exhibition match taking place this time round? There's usually a match played around the time the winning bids are announced isn't there? Or have I made that up? :crazy:

we got 2 votes and one was Geoff Thompson I think. They were telling us something I think...like if you were an undemocratic country like Russia, you'd have more of a chance in future! :biggrin:

Well my theory on Russia was correct, and I've thought for a few months now Qatar would get it, only 2 million people, but due to the Middle Eastern problems it's basically a move by the West to bring them into the sporting family..... oh ... and the decision has nothing to do with politics :anerikke:
