    Mat,

As the combination looks pretty close to being cracked........

If you are going to be away for the next few draws, I think the fairest chance I can offer you (or anyone else who knows they will not be able to post by the required deadlines)....... is for you to PM or Email me your chosen combination(s) along with the draw date(s) that you wish them to be submitted.

If your chosen combination on your nominated draw date should open the eSafe, then I will make this known to the other players, and will wait until you return from your hols, before we play the final stage of the game.

If your TBall is drawn but no combination has been submitted, then the player holding the next Thunderball in the list will be given the chance to post their own choice to win the safe contents.

Would it be acceptable to nominate a deputy to select a code for me, with a deal being struck to incentivise such a person into making sure they select a good code?

    Mat,

Sure, no problem......as long as you let me know who you are going to use as your deputy.
(Read my reply to your original question again, as I may have edited it since you first read it).

If they post the correct combination, are you going to let them play the final stage on your behalf as well, or do you want me to hold fire until you return?

OK Ada, FTB will stand in for me for the draws taking place between 7th and 14th October (inclusive) and is responsible for both the combination to crack the safe and playing the end game (if necessary).

    Mattw07,

Your combination: D8307193 has FAILED to open the safe, but what I can tell you is...

You have correctly picked 8 of the combination characters OF WHICH 1 is in the correct position of the combination sequence.
(Using the Mastermind game scoring system: WHITE PEGS:7; BLACK PEGS:1)

The question to become the new owner of Thunderball 6 will be posted on the GAME 3 QUESTIONS thread at 22:30 on Friday.

    Hi Ada,

I'll be away from today until Saturday so will miss Wednesday's draw - if the combination hasn't been cracked by then and my number's drawn please just pass it on to whoever's next in the list thanks.

    Good luck everyone ! :)

    Fadetoblack/Mathare,

    CONGRATULATIONS

Your combination 08139D37 has successfully opened the safe.

    Well done...

Welcome to the eSafe Hall of Fame along with Silax & Iron Chris.

You are taking £44, the contents of the safe, into the final stage of the game.

Your final prize money will be decided by the Thunderball draw this Saturday 14th October.

I will post the details shortly.

    Ada.

    Fadetoblack/Mathare,

Throughout the game so far, the Thunderball has dictated who got to have a shot at opening the eSafe and also the prize amount to be carried forward into this final stage of the game…. so guess what……
Saturday’s drawn Thunderball will determine the final prize money amount you will actually walk away with.

    Final Stage Rules

    1. You must choose 8 of the 14 Thunderballs as yours for Saturday’s draw.

The remaining 6 will become mine.
Of these 6 I will split them into two groups of 3
    .

    Prize Allocation

    If Saturday’s drawn Thunderball is:

One of your chosen 8 then you will win 100% of the final prize amount.
One of my first group of 3 then you will win 50% of the final prize amount.
One of my second group of 3 then you lose and will win nothing.

    2. You NOW have to choose 1 of the following options:

    A.
    Depending on Saturday’s drawn Thunderball:
    You will either win the full amount of the eSafe contents: £44;
50% of the full amount £22....or....
    Absolutely nothing.

    B.
Alternatively, I will exchange the eSafe contents of £44 for 44 Thunderball tickets for Saturday’s draw.
    Depending on the drawn Thunderball:
    You will either win 100% of the value of the winning lines;
50% of the value of the winning lines....or...
    Absolutely nothing.

The 44 Thunderball tickets I buy can either be chosen by yourself, or bought as Lucky Dips…..it’s up to you.
If you choose your own numbers I will require you to post them on this thread ASAP in order to give me reasonable time to buy them in readiness for Saturday’s draw.

So in theory you could be exchanging the eSafe’s £44 for anything between £0 & £250,000!!

    C.
Your third choice is a mixture of the above.
You can split the £44 into two amounts, one share to be held back & the other to be exchanged for Thunderball tickets.
The size of each share is up to you, but the smallest share MUST NOT be less than £10, and both shares MUST add up to the full £44.
NOTE: The drawn Thunderball rule will apply to BOTH the share amount held back & the value of any Thunderball winning lines.

    D.
The final prize amount (determined after Saturday's Thunderball draw) can be donated to a charity of your choice.

So Fadetoblack/Mathare, there you have it…
Please reply to this post with your 8 chosen Thunderballs & your preferred option A, B, C or D.
    I will respond accordingly.

What do the rest of you think they should do?

    Ada.

Well done Fade... ... if Mat didn't leave instructions as to what you should do next he obviously wasn't that confident of the outcome...

I would suggest Option B and then Mat can decide after that...:wink
